If you’ve decided to get flu shots for you and your family, it’s crunch time: it’s suggested you have the shot by mid-November, before flu season hits its stride. Here’s some quick info.
Did you know that anyone living with a child under the age of 5 is eligible for a free flu shot in New Brunswick? Children up to age 18 are also eligible for a free flu shot, as are pregnant women and anyone living with a person expecting to give birth during flu season.
Full details on eligibility can be found on the province's website.
To find a pharmacist providing flu shots, search by your postal code for the nearest options. (Once you find a local pharmacist, it's always best to call and check times and policies on young children.)
VON Moncton District is also offering free flu shots to those eligible. You can contact them for clinic locations and times by phoning 857-9115.
